ReaScan -rapid diagnostic system

ReaScan is a new diagnostic system making use of proprietary immunochromatographic test technology and hand-held refractometer. The system is easy-to-use, fast, and fulfils diagnostic requirements  for qualitative and quantitative measurements.

New immunochromatographic test technology

ReaScan system includes a test cassette and a vial containing particulate conjugate. The sample is added into the conjugate vial in which the analyte is bound to the conjugate. The conjugate is then transferred into the test cassette, in which the sample migrates along the test strip and reacts with the capture reagents immobilised on the test strip forming a coloured line. The result is then red with the ReaScan reader. Since the analysis is performed with consistent reagent volumes and concentrations, the system allows also quantitative measurements with accuracy lower than 10 CV% for the most of the analytes. ReaScan technology provides very flexible analysis system. Depending on analyte, analytical sensitivity may be a few mg per litre. Therefore, most of the clinically valuable analytes are measurable with the ReaScan system.

Dilute the sample (1), transfer it into conjugate tube (2), load the sample to the test cassette (3), and wait for 5 - 15 min depending on the assay. Switch power on, open the rack by pressing it (4), insert the cassette (5), close the rack (6), and open it again (7). The result is displayed on the screen. So simple is that.

ReaScan is very simple-to-use device. It operates with two AAA batteries, which are the only replaceable parts in the device. No maintenance is needed . All ReaScan tests are factory calibrated, which allows fast and simple analysis. Total analysis time of the ReaScan tests are less than 15 min. Reading time is only 5 seconds. The reader is pocket-size (82x32x125 mm) and weights only 200 g.
