The Özgözükara Group of Companies has emerged as a result of the experience of 26 years. The founder, Dr. Abdullah Özgözükara, is the first physician, who has applied the CAPD in Turkey and opened the first private dialysis center in Istanbul.
Dr. Özgözükara, who has opened and currently runs an approximate number of 20 dialysis centers in various provincial cities, has resigned from his position as the Chief Physician at Türk Böbrek Vakfı Hastanesi (Turkish Kidney Foundation Hospital) served between the years 1988-1993 with the objective of setting up his own health center and bringing a service understanding in better quality for the sector.
He firstly opened the Özgözükara Kidney Diseases and Dialysis Center in Bahçelievler (town).
Mr. Özgözükara has gained a remarkable reputation at the sector with his understanding not making any concession out of quality and provision of inner-service trainings for his own personnel and permanently renewed technologies.
Another innovative act of Mr. Özgözükara is the conveyance of his services to the local areas. Therefore, he preferred to open the first dialysis center in the city of Şanlıurfa in 1997 instead of opening a new one in Istanbul in order to create an opportunity of life for the dialysis patients, who were either obliged to go to the major cities for treatment or left in desperation due to the lack of treatment opportunities in their local areas.
